This Friday night, August 30 at 7:30 PM, the Lamar County Trojans will host the Jackson Red Devils in the “36 Throwdown” at Trojan Field. The rivalry, which has become a much-anticipated part of the football season, will see the two teams face off for the 39th time in series history. While Jackson historically leads the overall series 25-13, the tide has lately turned in Lamar County’s favor, with the Trojans winning the last three matchups, including a 31-0 shutout at Red Devil Hill last season. As both teams prepare to take the field, Trojan fans are eager to see if Lamar County can extend their winning streak against the Red Devils.

The Jackson Red Devils are 1-1 so far this season with a victory over the Hardaway Golden Hawks of Muscogee County. Mary Persons delivered the Devils their first loss last week, defeating Jackson 23-0. Jackson will look to steal a win at Thunder Alley and snap their losing streak to the Trojans.
