UPDATE
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office reported at 6:00 PM that Sharon Summers Petitt has been found and is safe.
Sharon Summers Petitt, who was reported missing earlier this month and later declared safe by the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office, has now been reported missing for the second time this month, now by another agency.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office has reported that Sharon Summers Petitt is missing again, as of June 27, 2025.
Authorities have said that Petitt was last seen at 1:30 PM on June 23, 2025. She was wearing blue scrubs at the Shell convenience store near the Shoney’s restaurant in Forsyth, just off Interstate 75.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office described Petitt as being 5 feet tall and 84 pounds.
