The Barnesville–Lamar County Chamber of Commerce is asking members of the community to nominate its choices for Citizen of the Year and Businessperson of the Year.
This is part of an initiative to recognize local citizens who have earned recognition for exemplary service to the Barnesville–Lamar County community for the 2024 calendar year.
A deserving Citizen of the Year nominee includes someone who has “dedicated their time, energy, and passion to making Barnesville a better place.” Likewise, a Businessperson of the Year nominee consists of a local business or businessperson who has “made a significant impact through service, innovation, or community involvement.”
Winners will be revealed at the annual Community Awards. The event will be Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Crimson Skye Event Center, located at 207 Liberty Hill Road in Milner.
The nomination period ends Friday, March 7, 2025.
