Locals can mark their calendars for a busy and festive Saturday, as two of the community’s most anticipated February events return on Saturday, February 7, 2026.
The day will feature both family-friendly fun and a night out for friends.
20th Annual Father-Daughter Dance
The 20th Annual Father-Daughter Dance will be from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Women’s Clubhouse, located at 105 Stafford Avenue, and is open to fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and other father figures.
Admission is $5 per person, and the evening will include food, music, and dancing.
Tickets are available at Ace Hardware, Goggins Florist, or Barnesville First United Methodist Church.

Galentine’s Ladies Night Out
In addition, Downtown Barnesville will host Galentine’s Ladies Night Out from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The event encourages women and their friends to enjoy an evening of shopping, in-store specials, and socializing throughout the downtown district.
Participating businesses will offer extended hours, promotions, and a lively community-centered atmosphere.
February 7 is shaping up to be one of Barnesville’s most active Saturdays of the winter.
Grant Turner is the editor of the Barnesville Buzz and an educator, coach, and writer based in Barnesville, Georgia. He shares stories that bridge community, faith, and personal growth. In addition to teaching and coaching, Grant is Director of Musical Worship and a Sunday School teacher at New Hope Baptist Church in Zebulon, Georgia.
