
A sweet opportunity is coming to Barnesville.
The Lamar County University of Georgia Extension will host its first Lunch and Learn: Honey Tasting on Friday, March 20, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Barnesville–Lamar County Library.
Extension ANR Educator Isaiah Moore says participants will be sampling a variety of honeys while hearing from Spalding County Extension Agent Victoria Hull, who will explain how different nectar sources influence honey’s color and flavor.
For a $10 registration fee, attendees will receive:
- Lunch
- Honey tasting
- Educational presentation
- UGA resources
