A stabbing occurred on Tuesday night near the E.P. Roberts Center on Mill Street in Barnesville. Traffic on Mill Street was detoured around the crime scene as law enforcement secured the area.
According to Barnesville Police Chief Belinda Penamon, the suspect, Michael Williams, is in custody.
The victim, identified as Jeffrey Beach, sustained a stab wound to the hip. He was transported to a hospital for treatment, and his injuries are non-life-threatening.
The incident is being described as isolated and related to a private altercation between the individuals involved.
