The most impressive performance of the night came from the mound as junior pitcher, Logan Miller, pitched his first no-hitter.

Miller pitched a complete game, facing 23 batters. In 83 pitches, Miller gave up zero hits and struck out 10. Only two Vikings got on base all night. Miller also went 2-for-4 at the plate, hitting two singles.
The Trojans’ first run came in the bottom of the second inning. After Walker Greer reached first base on a single with two outs, Abel Ramirez brought him home with a base hit.
That one run would have been enough to win the game, but Lamar County was not finished scoring. In the third, Acyn Jackson scored on a wild pitch. Carson Howell ripped a line drive to right field, bringing in Charlie Hutto. This made it 3-0.
Acyn Jackson scored on a hard grounder to left field from Logan Miller. Following this, Evan Banducci made it 5-0 when he scored on a line drive by Charlie Hutto.
Lamar County scored its final run of the evening after Van Padgett advanced home on a wild pitch.
The Trojans have improved to 4-5 on the season. They will have their second shot at Callaway on Monday, March 10. They will travel to Butler Thursday to face Taylor County again, as well. Both contests will begin at 5:30.
Lamar County’s next home game will be Friday, March 21.
