Lamar County Schools Closed on Tuesday, January 21
The Lamar County School System has announced that it will close schools on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. This decision was made out of an abundance of caution due to statements released by the National Weather Service regarding snow, ice, and freezing conditions in the forecast.
No decision has yet been made about Wednesday, January 22, 2025. The district says to look for updates tomorrow for an announcement about Wednesday as road conditions are assessed.

- Griffin-Spalding County
- Henry County
- Meriwether County (remote learning day)
- Monroe County (alternate learning day)
- Pike County
- Thomaston-Upson County
