A week ago, the Georgia High School Association informed the public of its reclassification proposal, which placed Lamar County High School in Class AAA. Today, there is a little more clarity on where Lamar County High School will be competing regionally.
The Georgia High School Association has now released its proposed regions for the 2026–2028 reclassification cycle. If it stands, the Trojans will be placed in Region 2-AAA with seven other schools.
GHSA’s member schools have the option to appeal their regional placement until November 16.
