The prayer walk will begin at 6:00 AM at the Barnesville–Lamar County Library. Participants will gather there before being dismissed to pray in various areas of the town.

Organizers hope the event will serve as a time for the community to come together in faith, asking for God’s wisdom, peace, protection, and guidance over Barnesville, Lamar County, and the nation.

Prayers will focus on safety during the weekend’s festivities, protection on the roads, unity among neighbors, and gratitude for the freedoms enjoyed across the country.

The invitation is open to all ages and churches.

As the weekend celebrations begin, the prayer walk offers an opportunity to pause, give thanks, and seek God’s continued work in the community.
