Dog Tales of Barnesville: Part 1
National Dog Day is Monday, August 24, and what better way to celebrate than by recognizing the four-legged friends who bring so much joy to our lives? We invited our readers to share their furry babies with the community, and the responses were amazing! Here are the features for Part 1.
Savannah Turner
Meet Piper, a Labradoodle. She loves going for walks, playing with all of her toys, and getting lots of treats.
Nicole Tillery
Nicole’s Belgian Malinois, Jager and Roxie, each have their own unique personalities. Jager has a habit of claiming anything left outside as his own, while Roxie thrives on being the center of attention.
Stephanie Durham
Say hello to Maggie Mae! She’s a 6-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer who absolutely loves playing fetch.
Allison Howard
This was sweet Myles, Allison’s beloved Yorkie. Although he’s been gone since October, his memory still warms her heart. Myles was 11 and a half years old and loved nothing more than snuggling up on the couch.
Tyler Scandrett
This is Qane, a 6-year-old American Bully who loves nothing more than sleeping and enjoying his meals.
Tyler also has quite the team of Certified Rabbit Hunting Beagles, including Remy, Mocha, Stella, Nova, Duke, Gotti, and Buck. They’re all skilled and ready for the hunt!
Cindy Jones
Cindy’s submission is Babs, a lovable Golden-doodle rescue. Babs enjoys riding on the golf cart and is always eager to socialize!
Carrianna Simmons
Winston is a 2-year-old Lab mix with a lot of personality. His favorite activities include barking at the wind and sweetly holding your hand with both paws.
Rebecca Carter
This is Rebecca’s Winnie, a 4-year-old Boxer/Pitt mix with a huge heart. Winnie loves to snuggle and play chase with the family cat!
Victoria Gilstrap
Meet Kash and Benjamin (Benny), two staples of the family. Kash, a 5-year-old Blue Nose Pit, is the biggest, sweetest couch potato you’ll ever meet. Then there’s Benny, an almost 2-year-old mutt who’s the perfect addition to the family. He’s a loving little guy who would do anything just to sit and hug you. And he absolutely adores his big brother, Kash!
Sonya Dyer
Meet Callie, Sonya’s spoiled rotten German Shorthaired Pointer. She’s full of energy and always ready for a car ride! And so is the dog!
